William IV era sterling silver card case and chain, hallmarked Birmingham 1835.

The case is made by the silversmiths Taylor & Perry (John Taylor and John Perry of Newhall Street, Birmingham.  Monogrammed on the central plaque in script “MANO”.

The case and chain are in amazingly good condition for being close to two centuries old!  It holds a standard size modern business card for use in the 21st century.

3 1/2” (8.9cm) by 2 3/8” (6cm) excluding chain.
