William IV period “Fiddle, Thread & Shell” pattern sterling silver grape scissors, hallmarked London 1835.  The pattern is double-struck, meaning that the handles show the same amount of detail on the front and reverse.  From the workshop of silversmiths Charles Rawlings & William Summers (CR over WS) whose work dates 1829-61.  

This pair of grape scissors are in excellent condition and they have a substantial weight, making them very satisfying to hold.
