Made by the silversmith partnership (and brothers) Edward and John Barnard. The firm originated with Robert Nelme, circa 1680 and evolved through partnerships to include members of other families of illustrious silversmiths such as the Chawner family in the later half of the 18th century and many generations of the Barnard family throughout the 19th century. The company existed until 2003.
