Substantial French silver tureen and stand, early 20th century, of a neoclassical 18th century design. Complete with a silver edged glass frog for floral arrangements. Trademarked from the workshop of Henri Lapparra of 157 rue du Temple, Paris, France in 950 Fine Silver.
Comprised of four pieces: tureen, cover, stand and the glass frog.
18 1/4" (46.4cm) by 11" (28cm), 9" (22.8cm) high.
Maison Lapparra was founded by Antoine Lapparra in 1893, in partnership with Georges Gabriel in 1902, and in 1923 taken over by Antoine's nephew Henri.
