Edvin Ollers, Swedish (1888-1959)
A painter by training, he studied at the Higher Art School in Stockholm, 1905-09 and the Gothenburg Museum of Painting School in 1909-10. Ollers taught at the Ostra Real in Stockholm 1910-16 and the Stockholm Technical School 1911-43. He became one of the first Swedish art industrial designers, considered an “aesthetic educator “ by his peers.
Ollers did design work for the glass companies Reijmyre (1918-24), Elme Glasbruk (Älmhult) (1926-30), Limmared, Kosta (1917-18 and 1930-32), Alsterfors glass mill in Alsterfors (1931-32), Åfors (1934-40), Ekenäs glass mill (1946-47) and Flygfors in 1947.
