Bela Voros Cubist Bas Relief Plaque Sculpture Art Deco This attractive Cubist bronze is attributed to the Hungarian artist, Bela Voros (1899-1983). The Art Deco bronze sculpture is a portrait of a young woman holding a guitar. It is set on a wood backdrop and has the original purple paper lining on the back. Bela Voros is a renown Hungarian sculptor. He later moved to Paris during the war and was welcomed by the elite artists in the effervescent scene in Montparnasse. French designer and master couturier Paul Poiret, discovered Bela’s sculptures and incorporated his works into his designs. Bela Voros’s works have been exhibited in Musee Rodin, Paris Exhibition of 20th century Hungarian Artists, Budapest Museum of Fine Arts and the Hungarian National Museum to name a few.
