Antique Chinese octagonal box in 900 Fine Silver.  The slightly domed lid features dragons and all eight sides have different scenes within panels.  

The luckiest number in both traditional and modern Chinese culture is the number 8. 

In Taoist culture the number 8 is associated with wholeness and completeness, and The Eight Directions represent the whole universe, making this eight sided box most auspicious.   Very lucky!
