Carved document box, attributed to China, circa 1900.  The box is hardwood with carved three dimensional panels on all four sides and cover, depicting multiple people in garden settings.  All five reliefs are different.

The lid does have a slight warp, wear consistent with age and use.

8 3/4” (22.3cm) by 5 1/2” (14cm), 3 1/2” (8.9cm) high.
