Clarice Cliff design plate with the Biarritz Royal Staffordshire trademark.  This mark with the registration number of 784849 was first used in 1933 to protect the patent design of the square and rectangular based dinnerware, known as the Biarritz line.

The plate is rectangular with a round depression where the Rose trellis design is.
