German Jugendstil (Art Nouveau) green to clear cut and acid etched glass vase. The original pewter frame has both heart and leaf designs.
The frame of the vase has the stamped trademark “Orivit” 2546 L. The Orivit company was founded in 1894 in Koln-Ehrenfeld Germany. They produced pewter wares, and glass or ceramic objects with pewter mounts, all in the Jugendstil style. In 1905 they were bought out by WMF which continued to use their trademark until 1914. The style number on this piece dates the design to 1904.
