Product Details

Rare yellow ground Royal Crown Derby ewer, Osmaston Road factory, date marks for 1891.  Yellow is rare as it was unstable in the kiln and hard to fire to a consistent quality.  The gilded designs of flowers and leaves are over painted in shades of burgundy and teal, enhancing them in a three dimensional way.
