Kosta Boda Adam and Eve art glass bowl hand painted by Swedish artist Ulrica Hydman-Vallien (1938-2018).  *

* Ulrica Hydman-Vallien was a Swedish artist who specialized in stained and painted decorative glass.  Her education was at the University of Arts, Crafts and Design (Konstfack), Stockholm, Sweden.  She initially studied ceramics and one of her instructors was Stig Lindberg, the ceramic artist most known for his work with Gustavsberg.  Hydman-Vallien started her professional career in glass circa 1971 working for Kosta Boda and is best known for her humorous and whimsical motifs of snakes, tulips and wolves.  Her work was prolific and very popular through the 1980s, 90s and 00s.

Her work is in the collections of many museums internationally, including:
