Antique Maltsev glass table box, impressed designs of an “X” on the cover and alternating vertical bands of plain and diamond cut panels. Mounted with a hinged white metal frame.  The impressed trademark is Cyrillic and identifies the box as being made by Maltsev / Mal’tsev Glassworks of Russia, with a patent date of 1904.  

The box is in good condition.

* Maltsev Glassworks was founded in 1756 by Akim Maltsev in the Vladimir Province,  near the Gus River.  The factory operated continuously (with the exception of post-revolution Russia 1917-1923) until bankruptcy closure in 2012, re-organizing and reopening in 2013.
