Hammered pewter biscuit barrel, with applied leather strap style handles, made by William James Myatt & Co. Ltd.,  or a 1910-20.  W J Myatt & Co. was established in 1895 in Argent Works, Graham Street, Sheffield and Frederick Street, Birmingham, England.  The company produced metal wares in sterling silver, silver plate and pewter.  

The biscuit barrel is trademarked stamped on the bottom:  BRITISH MADE PEWTER,  WJM & Co ( in a shield) and 355.

The biscuit barrel is in good condition, with the patination of the pewter providing a rich, soft glow.

5” (12.7cm) high, 8 1/4” (21cm) across the handles.
