Watercolour portrait of a lady, signed and dated Alessandro Zezzos, 1888.  Zezzos was an Italian painter of genre scenes, costume scenes, portraits and vedute.  He painted in both watercolour and oils.

Born in 1848 in Venice.  He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice.  From 1873 on Zezzos exhibited in Venice, Turin, Milan, Rome and Paris.  He died in Vittorio, Veneto, Italy in 1914.

The portrait is 13" by 17".  The overall picture in the frame is 23 1/4" by 27 1/4".  It was retailed by T. Richardson & Co., Fine Art Galleries, 43 Piccadilly, London W.
