Wedgwood Butterfly Lustre vase, circa 1920s.
This line was designed by Daisy Makeig-Jones (1881-1945).
She was first employed by Wedgwood as an apprentice painter in 1909 and was doing design work two years later. The Lustre patterns were introduced in 1915 with the very popular Fairyland Lustre pattern, and were made until 1929. She retired in 1931.
