* Arthur Noel Gredington (1903-71) was the first resident modeller employed by Beswick, starting his career at Beswick in 1939.  Gredington was a leading animal modeller of the 20th century, creating approximately 400 animal figures for Beswick, as well as collaborating on another 400.
