English Sterling Silver Golf Trophy Dated 1913, Presented to Ernie Hamilton in 1947

Product Details

English sterling silver golf trophy, hallmarked Sheffield 1913 and presented in 1947. Made by the prolific silversmiths Harrison Brothers & Howson (George Howson) of Norfolk and Carver Streets, Sheffield, England.

The large goblet form trophy is engraved:

* Ernest Samuel Hamilton (1883-1964) was a Canadian Olympian.  He was involved in many sports including rugby, lacrosse and hockey.  He was part of the gold winning Canadian Lacrosse team of the 1908 Olympics in London, England.
